Robert is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in roads and other infrastructure projects within a local authority.  

For the last 25 years he has had engagement in national roads issues through participation in the Society of Chief Officers involved in Transportation in Scotland (SCOTS).

Robert has experience on both the public and private sector side of PPP – having been involved  in bidding a schools project, and as client representative for the Scottish Borders Council £90M 3HS (High Schools) project.

Over the last 7 years Robert has been with the Scottish Government involved in the management of issues during the deployment of the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband rollout and is currently providing support as a consultant on the deployment of the Scottish Government’s R100 Superfast Broadband Programme.
