For more than 20 years James has delivered high profile procurement projects for consultancy clients and within civil service roles. Whilst consulting for PA Consulting he amassed a range of PPP experience including in-life negotiations on change and exit and transitions for a £4bn defence IT contract and negotiations on benchmarking/market testing for £400m training agreement between MOD/Cranfield University.

Whilst at Digital Scotland a function of Scottish Government he was procurement lead for the delivery of the DSSB £260M Fibre Investment.  Having spent 20 years in Scottish Government, James is hugely experienced on the workings of the public sector and the constraints and opportunities which can be found within it.

James has numerous relevant qualifications including Project Management – PRINCE2 Practitioner.
